ALBANY, N.Y. - Denny Kearney (Hanover, NH) had the hottest hand of any Division I skater last weekend with four goals and four primary assists. His eight-point weekend earned him ECAC Hockey Player of the Week Honors as the No. 5 Yale hockey team began the season 2-0.

Kearney, one of the premier set-up men in college hockey, isn't known for his goal scoring.

"I usually have three goals by Christmas. I might have a bunch of assists, but not many goals. I've never been a big goal scorer, " said Kearney after helping the Bulldogs beat Brown 7-4 last Friday night with three goals and an assist. It was his first collegiate hat trick, done naturally (consecutive goals), and included the game-winner.

The senior winger added a goal and three assists in a 7-3 win over Dartmouth on Saturday at Ingalls.

The Yale senior now has 33 goals and 98 points in 102 games played.

The Bulldogs are home again this weekend to host Princeton and Quinnipiac in the first weekend of conference play at Ingalls.
