Blue No. 1 in USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Poll

Yale On Top For 3rd Straight Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.. – The Yale men's hockey team was off last week and won't be playing a game until the 29th but was the unanimous No. 1 in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Poll for the second week in a row. The Bulldogs, off to their best start in 80 years at 11-1-0 overall (6-0 ECAC Hockey), collected 510 points and all 34 first-place votes.

The Bulldogs have been No. 1 for three straight weeks and will be again next week because there will not be a USA Today poll.

The top four teams were idle last weekend. The University of New Hampshire remains at No. 2 with 458 points, while the University of Minnesota Duluth (418) sits at No. 3. Boston College (410) claims the No. 4 spot, while the University of North Dakota (403) rounds out the top five after defeating the U.S. National Under-18 Team.

The Elis host the Russian Red Stars on Dec. 29 at 7 p.m. at Ingalls Rink. Tickets are available and can be purchased by calling (203) 432-1400. The rink box office opens at 5:30 on game night.
