Toys, Hockey Sunday at Whale

Toys For Tickets at 4 pm Game

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Bring a toy and get two complimentary tickets to the Yale men's hockey game against Bentley on New Year's Day at 4 p.m. The Yale Athletics Department's third annual toy drive to support the Yale-New Haven Hospital Auxiliary Toy Closets Program is Sunday at Ingalls Rink.

For every new, unwrapped toy brought to the Whale on game day, you receive two free tickets.

The game against the Falcons is the first regular-season action for the No. 19 Bulldogs (6-5-1) since a Dec. 8 game at UMass. Yale hosted the Russian Red Stars Wednesday night in an exhibition contest.

Yale-New Haven Hospital Auxiliary's Toy Closet program was developed to provide new, age-appropriate and educational toys to pediatric patients at Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital. The Toy Closet helps insure that pediatric patients come away from their hospitalization with a pleasant memory. In addition, the toys serve as gifts for special occasions such as birthdays and holiday celebrations for hospitalized children.
