Agostino, Malcolm, Wilson Earn Honors
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale men's hockey team notched a sweep of the North Country teams last weekend on the road, while the Bulldogs also swept the week's conference awards. Junior forward Kenny Agostino was named ECAC Hockey Player of the Week, senior Jeff Malcolm earned goalie of the week distinction and forward Stu Wilson (in photo) was conference rookie of the week.
Agostino (Flanders, NJ), who led all players with four points, hit the net once each in the 5-3 win at St. Lawrence and the 3-1 victory at Clarkson. He added an assist in both games and leads the team with 21 points.
Malcolm (Lethbridge, Alb.), who has a .917 save percentage and a 2.57 goals against average this season, stopped 68 of 72 shots and blanked the Saints and Knights on every power play attempt while earning both wins in net.
Wilson (Pittsford, NY), earning his second ECAC honor this year, had a goal and two points. He leads all Yale newcomers with four goals and six points this winter.
This may be the first time Yale has won all three awards in one week. The Bulldogs host Harvard (7:30) and Dartmouth (7) this weekend.
