Miller Has One-Year Deal
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Andrew Miller, the captain who led the Yale hockey team to its first national title just a week ago in Pittsburgh, has signed a one-year entry level contract with the Edmonton Oilers, according to the team's website.
Miller was a two-time, first-team All-ECAC pick who earned CCM All-America honors this season while compiling a career-high 18 goals and 41 points. His 114 assists place him atop the school's career list, while his 156 points rank fifth at Yale.
The 2012-13 Ivy League Player of the Year scored the game winner in the Frozen Four Semifinal against UMass Lowell and then took tournament MVP honors after finishing the championships with two goals and four points.
Earlier today, Miller was named ECAC Hockey Player of the Month for March/April after accumulating six goals and 15 points.
Miller joins former teammate Mark Arcobello '10 in the Oiler organization. Arcobello, who has been tearing up the AHL this year with Oklahoma City, played one game for Edmonton this season.
