Kaczperski Shines in Yale Net
CANTON, N.Y. – Sophomore Corbin Kaczperski stopped 27 of 28 shots, a performance that typically gets the Yale men's hockey team a victory. However, his counterpart, Arthur Brey, turned aside all 53 shots that came his way as St. Lawrence earned a 1-0 ECAC Hockey win at Appleton Arena.
The lone tally came from the stick of Alex Gilmour on a Saints power play midway through the second period that gave his squad a season series split and a four-point home weekend set.
Kaczperski, whose busiest period was 10 saves in the second, stopped a number of breakaways to keep the Bulldogs in the game. Meanwhile, the visitors had four advantages in the game but could not produce enough quality scoring opportunities.
Yale is back in New Haven next weekend to complete its non-league slate with a set against Arizona State on Friday and Saturday nights.
