Matt Gibson Earns NEILA Award
Yale Sophomore Had 5 Goals in Win
NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Yale attackman Matt Gibson has been named the Turfer NEILA Player of the Week for April 11. Gibson, a sophomore from Point Lookout, N.Y., led the Bulldogs to an 8-3 victory over Ivy League opponent Dartmouth by scoring five goals.
Gibson, who was named Ivy Player of the Week after notching
five goals in a win over UMass early this season, leads the team
with 16 assists and 37 points. His 21 goals are second.
The road win improved Yale's record to 7-2 and earned
the team the second ranking in this week's NEILA
Coaches' Poll.
The Bulldogs stay on the road this week with contests at Providence tonight and Brown on Saturday.
