Coleman Gets NEILA, USILA Honor
AMHERST, Mass. - The New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) announced its 11th Division I All-New England Senior Scholar Athlete team today and three Bulldogs, seniors Brian Douglass (Waccabuc, NY), Patrick Coleman (Ridgewood, NJ) and Johnathan Falcone (Flemington, NJ), made the list.
The scholar athlete team acknowledges graduating seniors who have earned over a 3.0 grade point average and have excelled on the field.
Douglass, an attackman, led the Bulldogs (10-4) with better than three points per game and was an honorable mention All-Ivy pick.
Coleman, Yale's captain, was honorable mention All-Ivy as a LSM who caused 1.86 turnovers (15th in Division I) per game. He was the only Bulldog to receive this NEILA award and be listed among the scholar-athletes selected by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA).
Falcone, also honored today as a Capital One Academic All-District pick, led the Blue in goal with a 7.30 goals against. He was second-team All-Ivy and could become Yale's first Lowe's Senior CLASS Award winner when the announcement is made next weekend at the national finals.
