NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Three members of the Yale men's lacrosse team have been named to the 2012 Pre-Season All-Ivy League Team.  Matt Gibson (Point Lookout, NY), Cole Yeager (Wayne, Pa.) and Michael Pratt (Garden City, N.Y.) were picked among the league's best players.

The Bulldogs had as many pre-season all-conference picks as defending Ivy champion Cornell. Princeton had the most with four, while Harvard had two and Penn had one.

Gibson, a senior attackman, is a two-time USILA All-America pick and Yale's active career goals leader with 66.

Yeager had a breakout season as a sophomore face-off man last year. He ranked fourth in the nation with a .648 mark while earning second-team All-New England honors.

The senior captain for 2012, Pratt has played in every Yale game since coming to New Haven and chipped in 42 ground balls last spring as the team's top defensive midfielder.

Earlier this month, Gibson, Yeager and junior defenseman Michael McCormack (West Islip, N.Y.) were all named honorable mention pre-season All-America by the same website.
