Had Four Goals, Six Points In Victory Over Penn
NEW HAVEN, Conn. - In a must-win game for the Bulldogs, junior Brandon Mangan turned in his best performance of the season, leading Yale to a 7-6 overtime victory on the road against Penn on Saturday. Mangan had a hand in all but one of Yale's goals, and on Monday was rewarded by being named the Ivy League Co-Player of the Week.
Facing an early deficit, Mangan scored twice and assisted another during a 4-0 Yale run. In overtime, he assisted on Kirby Zdrill's game-winning goal.
Mangan is seventh in the nation in points per game with 4.57 and leads the Bulldogs in points (32), goals (19) and assists (13).
Yale hosts Providence on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Reese Stadium.
