Brooks, the 2005 captain, has been a regular starter in each of the last two years. Last year he tied for the team lead in assists with four. His one goal came in Yale's 7-0 victory over Sacred Heart, and he also tallied an assist. Brooks had a strong sophomore season, starting a career-high 15 games. He made a solid contribution as a rookie, finishing sixth on the team in scoring. Three of his five points came in the Yale Classic. He scored in the victory over Vanderbilt and added an assist against Alabama A&M. Brooks is the all-time assists leader and is second in career points at Liberty High School. As a senior he earned first team all state recognition and helped lead Liberty to an undefeated season and a state championship. In addition, Brooks was a three-time all-league selection.
