Roberts, a three-time All-Ivy selection, has started every game since he arrived at Yale. Last fall he was one of only three players to start all 16 games and was a second team All-Ivy pick and a third team All-New England selection. In addition, he was named the Defensive Most Valuable Player of the Brown Tournament. As a sophomore he earned second team All-Ivy recognition and scored his first career goal against St. Peter's. He also was selected the most valuable player of the Yale-Fila Classic after he helped the Bulldogs to a pair of victories over nationally ranked opponents. In his freshman year he earned honorable mention All-Ivy recognition. In the summer of 2002, his club team reached the finals of the under-19 national championship. At Damien High School, Roberts was a two-time All-CIF and All-Sierra selection and was the Inland Valley MVP as a senior. In addition, he was a member of the Cal South ODP team and the Santa Anita Breakaway club team.
