Skalecki, who received a medical waiver after missing all of 2002 because of a knee injury and as a result is eligible in 2005, has started every game he has appeared in at Yale. Last year he established himself as one of the top defenders in the Ivy League and was a second team All-Ivy selection. He had an assist in Yale's 7-0 win over Sacred Heart. As a junior, Skalecki helped lead a Yale defense that allowed only 18 goals. He had an outstanding rookie year in 2001. His three assists tied for the team lead. Skalecki is a former member of the U.S. under-18 national team. At Wauwatosa East High School, he was an all-state selection in 2000 and was a 2001 Parade All-American. He also was a member of the Region II ODP team.
