Hollington received a medical waiver after missing last season with a back injury. He has overcome numerous setbacks in his career and shown tremendous character as a leader on and off the field. In 2002 he tied for third in the Ivy League in shutouts with three and was fifth in goals against average. He missed virtually all of the 2001 season with a back injury. As a freshman in his first collegiate game he made 11 saves against Richmond and then posted a shutout of Lafayette in his second game. He also was named to the all-tournament team at the Yale-Fila Classic. At Bellaire High School he led his team to the regional semifinals his senior year. He was a two-time all-district selection and also earned all-area recognition. Hollington was also a member of the club soccer team which won the state championship during both his junior and senior years.
