Andrew Shorten headed in Milan Tica's serve to tie the score, and Tica lofted a ball into the box that resulted in Chris Dennen's winning goal. It was the first goal of the season for Dennen, who was named to this week's Ivy League Honor Roll.

UConn (8-2-3) is unbeaten in its last seven games. The Huskies were ranked 17th in the nation by the NSCAA last week but figure to move up after knocking off sixth-ranked Harvard 4-0 and Pittsburgh 2-0. Freshman Carlos Alvarez was named the Player of the Week after registering seven points in two wins last week. Against Harvard he scored two goals and added an assist.

Yale and UConn are playing for the fourth straight year. The two teams played a scoreless tie in Storrs last year. Travis Chulick made six saves to earn the shutout in goal for the Bulldogs. The Huskies lead the all-time series 31-27-4.
