Armbrust Named Ivy League Rookie of the Week
Scored Twice In Win Over St. Francis (N.Y.)
NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Freshman Scott Armbrust has emerged as one of Yale's top scoring threats. He had the first multi-goal game of his young career when he scored twice in the Bulldogs' 4-1 victory over St. Francis (N.Y.) on Saturday. Armbrust was rewarded for his efforts on Monday by being named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week.
His two goals came in a two minute and 48 second span to give Yale a quick 2-0 lead. The first came when he fired a hard shot into the right corner. On the second, he worked himself free right in front and had an easy tap in of a Brad Rose cross. Armbrust now leads Yale with three goals on the season.
Rose, who had a goal and two assists in the game, was named to the Honor Roll.
The Bulldogs are back in action on Tuesday when they host Rhode Island at 7:30 p.m.
