Hackbarth ’12 Signs With Milwaukee Wave Of MISL
Three-Time All-Ivy Selection At Yale
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Andy Hackbarth, a three-time All-Ivy selection for the Yale men's soccer team, is in his first season as member of the Milwaukee Wave of the Major Indoor Soccer League. Hackbarth signed a two-year contract earlier this month.
Hackbarth, who played in 55 games for the Bulldogs from 2008 to 2012, was a defensive anchor throughout his career. He earned honorable mention All-Ivy recognition in each of his first three seasons before missing all of 2011 with an injury. He returned in 2012 and appeared in 12 games. In his four seasons, he scored six goals.
"I think Andy will be a good addition," said Wave head coach Keith Tozer in a press release.
The Wave opened their season on Nov. 16 and have won their first three games.
Hackbarth becomes the 10th player during head coach Brian Tompkins' tenure to play professional soccer.
