Scored In Yale's Labor Day Matinee With Fairfield
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – It was a memorable Labor Day for Yale first year Paolo Carroll, who scored his first career goal in the game with Fairfield. One week later, Carroll has another memory. He was named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week.
Carroll's goal against the Stags came late in the first half, and at the time, gave the Bulldogs a 1-0 lead.
Carroll brings strong credentials to Yale. He was a two-time Player of the Year and International High School MVP at Fundação Anglo-Brasileira de Educação e Cultura in Brazil.
Carroll has appeared in each of Yale's first three games and made his first career start Sunday at Georgetown.
Nicky Downs, who scored in the game at Georgetown, was also recognized. He was named to the Honor Roll.
The Bulldogs are back in action on Friday when they host Michigan State at 7 p.m. at Reese Stadium.
