Burton, who missed spring practice due to illness, is one of Yale's top offensive threats. He earned honorable mention All-Ivy recognition last fall after finishing fourth on the team in scoring with eight points. In Yale's victory over defending national champion North Carolina, Burton scored both goals, and against Dartmouth he had a goal and an assist. As a sophomore, he tied for the team lead in assists and was fifth in points. As a freshman Burton made an immediate impact. He tied for third on the team in scoring with 12 points. His top performance came in the season finale against Princeton when he scored all three Yale goals in a 3-1 victory. For that performance he was named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week for the second time. At Timothy Christian, he was named first team all-area, as well as first team All-State Prep Division. He also was a member of the Region I ODP team.
