Michael Johnson is in his third year as a member of Brian
Tompkins' staff. Johnson spent three years as an assistant coach at
the University of Wisconsin and also has coached at Quinnipiac and
Bridgeport. In addition, he has served as a state team coach in the
Connecticut Olympic Developmental Program and was a premier team
coach for the Guilford Soccer Club. Johnson is a 1989 graduate of
Franklin Pierce College where became the school's first men's
soccer player to earn All-America honors in 1987. He also was the
Mayflower Conference Player of the Year and NAIA District V most
valuable player in 1987.
