Rodriguez, who had an excellent spring season, has conquered some serious injuries during his career, and his experience and game savvy will be an asset. He played in a career-high six games in 2002. He has played on club teams that won the under-18 and under-19 national championship in the off season. In 2002 his team beat 2003 Yale captain Brian Roberts' team for the under-19 national crown. At Cy-Fair High School he was a three-time all-district selection.
