HANOVER, N.H. - Jarron Brooks scored in the first half and Daniel Moir added an insurance goal in the second half as St. Francis (Pa.) topped Yale 2-0 in the first game of the day at the Dartmouth Invitational. The Bulldogs outshot the Red Flash 12-7 and had 10 corner kicks but were unable to score for the third straight game.

Dwayne Whylly started in goal for Yale for the first time this season and made two saves. Brad Williams stopped five shots to post the shutout for St. Francis.

The Red Flash jumped out to an early 1-0 lead when Brooks took a feed from Andrew Stephens, got behind the defense and fired a shot that ricocheted off the far post and into the net at 9:40.

Moir's goal early in the second half came when he blasted a shot from 35 yards out into the top right corner.

The Bulldogs (0-4) had the next four shots in the game following Moir's goal but couldn't beat Williams. The 12 shots in the game matched Yale's season high.

"It took us awhile to get our engines started," said Yale head coach Brian Tompkins. "We did a better job in the second half. We applied more pressure and created some chances. We'll try and correct some things and bounce back on Sunday."

The Bulldogs play UW-Milwaukee on Sunday at noon.
