HAMDEN, Conn. -- Freshman Gage Hills scored with 3:03 left in the second half to snap a 3-3 tie and lift Yale to a 4-3 victory over Quinnipiac. Alex Munns and Andrew Dealy assisted on the goal, the first of Hills' career. Dealy blasted a free kick from just inside the left sideline to the back post where Munns redirected it with his head right to the feet of Hills. Jay Alberts added a pair of goals for the Bulldogs, and Lindsey Williams scored once. Dealy assisted on all four Yale goals.

Quinnipiac's Stephen Drosopoulos opened the scoring at 16:21. The Bobcats increased the lead to 2-0 on an Andrew Mundy goal at 25:30. Alberts, though, scored twice in an 11-minute stretch late in the second half to tie the score. Yale took a 3-2 lead on Williams' goal at 64:49, but Mundy scored his second goal of the game less than two minutes later to tie the score at 3-3.

"We dug ourselves an early hole but did a good job of fighting our way back," said Yale head coach Brian Tompkins. "I was pleased with the improvement we showed in our finishing. Quinnipiac isn't an easy team to beat on the road, so we are happy to come away with the win."

The four goals scored is a season high for the Bulldogs, who had been shutout in their previous two games.

Matt Aleksinas made two saves to earn the win in goal. Yale (7-5-0) outshot Quinnipiac 18-8.

Kenneth Lewis made eight saves in goal for the Bobcats (3-8-1).

The Bulldogs return to action on Saturday when play a key Ivy League game at Penn at 2:30 p.m.
