Alex Munns Named Ivy League Player Of The Week

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Alex Munns, who scored both Yale goals in Sunday's 2-0 victory over Cornell, was named the Ivy League Player of the Week. Munns currently leads the League with 0.67 goals per game and 1.56 points per game, and is tied for first with 14 points (six goals, two assists).
Munns' first goal broke a scoreless tie at the 69:11 mark and came when he dribbled around two defenders and fired a hard shot into the lower left corner. He added an insurance goal on a penalty kick with 24 seconds left in the second half.
The Bulldogs are tied for second place in Ivy League play with a 2-1 record and are at Penn on Saturday at 5 p.m. Brown is in first place at 3-0. Penn, Dartmouth and Cornell are all 2-1 along with the Bulldogs.
