NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Alex Munns, who was named the Ivy League Player of the Week on Monday, has picked up two more honors. He was named to the Soccer America Team of the Week and was selected as the ECAC Player of the Week.
Munns scored both Yale goals in Sunday's 2-0 victory over Cornell and currently leads the Ivy League with 0.67 goals per game and 1.56 points per game, and is tied for first with 14 points (six goals, two assists). Munns' first goal broke a scoreless tie at the 69:11 mark and came when he dribbled around two defenders and fired a hard shot into the lower left corner. He added an insurance goal on a penalty kick with 24 seconds left in the second half.
