NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Senior Jay Alberts, who scored three goals in a pair of Yale victories, was named the Ivy League Player of the Week. Against Penn, he scored the only goal of the game in the 62nd minute as Yale won its sixth game this season by a 1-0 score. Earlier in the week, Alberts scored twice as the Bulldogs edged Quinnipiac, 4-3. Both goals came in the first half after Yale had fallen behind 2-0.
Alberts has started all 13 games for the Bulldogs this season and leads the team in goals with four and is second in points with eight.
