NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Yale men's squash team bounced back from a loss in its last match by defeating Navy 8-1 on Saturday in Annapolis, Md.
The Bulldogs (9-1, 3-0 Ivy) swept six of the nine matches against the Midshipmen (19-6). The 3-0 victories were picked up by senior Todd Ruth (No. 2), sophomore Ryan Dowd (No. 4), junior Christopher Plimpton (No. 6), junior John Fulham (No. 7), junior Michael Maruca (No. 8), and freshman Sam Haig (No. 9).
Navy's sole victory came at the No. 5 position, where Allan Lutz defeated sophomore Robert Berner 3-2.
The Bulldogs will return to Ivy League on Jan. 30 at Princeton. The No. 4 Tigers are 5-1 on the season, including 2-0 in the Ivy League. Princeton's one loss came against Rochester in a 5-4 match on Dec. 13.
