No. 2 Bulldogs Defeat No. 7 Dartmouth, Advance To National Semifinals
NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The No. 2 Yale Bulldogs topped the No. 7 Dartmouth Big Green 9-0 Friday afternoon at the Brady Squash Center in the opening round of the CSA Team Championships.
The Bulldogs had no trouble defeating Dartmouth for the second time this season, having already bested the Big Green 8-1 on Jan. 9. Four Bulldogs (No. 2 Todd Ruth, No. 4 Hywel Robinson, No. 8 Robert Berner and No. 9 Christopher Plimpton) won their matches in three games. No. 1 Kenneth Chan rallied from a 2-1 deficit to complete the sweep for Yale.
The Bulldogs' victory will advance the team to the semifinals, where they face No. 3 Rochester Saturday at 3 p.m. The Bulldogs defeated Rochester in a thrilling 6-3 match on Jan. 10. In the first semifinal tomorrow, No. 1 Trinity will square off against No. 4 Princeton at noon.
