New Haven, Conn. - The Bulldogs are prepared to kick off the 2010-11 season, beginning preseason action this Saturday with the always-competitive Ivy Scrimmages from the Brady Squash Center.

While the matches will not count toward the team's official record, they will provide a good gauge of the relative strength of this year's squad.  The Bulldogs will enter the tournament as the preseason Ivy League No. 1 team.

After a successful pre-season of training both the men and women began official practice on October 15th.  The teams have been working hard on the court and in the weight room with strength coach Chris Fee.  All three Yale Coaches, Dave Talbott, Gareth Webber, and Pam Saunders are pleased with the progress of the teams.  The men are looking to defend their undefeated Ivy League Championship and hope to break through last year's plateau as the No. 2 team in the nation by beating the Trinity Bantams, who have a 12-year reign as undefeated National Champions.  Despite the big loss senior captain Todd Ruth and fellow senior Aaron Fuchs, the men have a chance to be an improved team and will aim their goal of becoming National Champions. The men will be competing on Saturday at 10:30 am and 3:00 pm as well as Sunday at 12:30 pm.
