Naishadh Lalwani Named Harrow Sports College Squash Player of the Week

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Senior Captain Naishadh Lalwani was named the Harrow Sports College Squash Player of the Week, in honor of his win over Princeton's Peter Sopher.

No. 2 Yale was in the middle of a close match against No. 3 Princeton, and the score was tied at 4-4 when Lalwani and Sopher stepped onto the court at No. 4. Lalwani overcame a loss in the first game, and rebounded to secure Yale's 5-4 victory over the Tigers. Along with the usual hordes of Yale fans  there to support the team, Lalwani had special guests there as well: his parents flew in from Bombay, India to watch the match.

A Harrow Sports College Squash Player of the Week is somebody who had a significant impact on his or her team's performance during the prior week, who also displays sportsmanship.
