No. 2 Bulldogs Breeze by Brown, Clinch Ivy Title
NEW HAVEN, Conn. - With a 9-0 victory over No. 12 Brown this Saturday, the No. 2 Yale Bulldogs (12-1, 5-0 Ivy) move closer to the Ivy title and undefeated Ivy season. Since Princeton defeated Harvard as well, the Bulldogs have already clinched a share of the Ivy Title. They will compete next weekend for the chance to win it outright. The Bulldogs have dropped only one match this season, to perennial powerhouse No. 1 Trinity. Yale succeeded at every spot against Brown, led by senior captain Naishadh Lalwani at No. 1 who topped Brown's Brad Thompson in 3 games. None of the Bears were able to take the Bulldogs to a fourth or fifth game.
The Bulldog's next obstacle is No. 6 Harvard, whom Yale will contest next Saturday at 4p.m. A victory over the Crimson will secure Yale's spot at the top of the Ivy League.
