CAMBRIDGE, Mass.— The No. 7 ranked Yale men's squash team fell to No. 2 Harvard 8-1 in their first match of the College Squash Association National Championships this afternoon.
The Bulldogs will move on to the consolation semifinals, where they are scheduled to play No. 6 Drexel, who fell to Columbia 9-0 in their opening match.
The last time Yale saw Drexel in the regular season, the Bulldogs came up short in an extremely close 5-4 match that lasted three hours. The match came down to a single point between freshman Spencer Lovejoy and his competitor in the No. 1 spot, an impressive matchup that had the crowd on its feet.
The Bulldogs now have the chance to take on the Drexel Dragons for a well-deserved rematch.
The match will begin at 4:00 p.m. and can be viewed at https://psaworldtour.com/tv
