Shortly after blanking Stanford, the men's squash team did the same to Denison. The Elis defeated the Big Red 9-0 at the Brady Squash Center as part of the Yale Round Robin held this weekend.
Julian Illingworth provided the most exciting match, beating Denison's Javier Castilla in a five-game match by the score of 9-2, 9-7, 7-9, 1-9, 9-3. In the number two match, Gavin Cumberbatch was a winner in three sets, 9-7, 9-2, 9-2.
Nick Chirls was the only other Bulldog besides Illinworth to drop a game, but still defeated his Denison opponent 9-7, 9-3, 5-9, 9-0, while William Rees was victorious in the No. 4 position by a 9-4, 9-2, 9-1 score.
Andrew Vinci, Ryan Byrnes, and Terence Li all defeated their opponents handily in the Nos. 5 through 7 slots, while Chris Wyant, AJ McCrery, and Brad Hathaway cruised to easy wins to round out the top 10.
The Bulldogs will return to action tomorrow morning as the Round Robin continues with play against Rochester, Wesleyan, Colby, and Dartmouth.
