Yale Completes Day Two At CSA Individuals

Philadelphia, PA - Sophomore Francis Johnson advanced to the consolation finals of the Potter Division (men's A) at the CSA Individual Championships Saturday. Johnson won all three of his consolation matches to advance to a finals matchup against Trininty's Rushabh Vora Sunday.
Johnson rolled through Penn's Graham Bassett 9-6, 9-2, 9-6 in the first round before pulling out a five game victory (9-4, 9-4, 1-9, 2-9, 9-2) over Brown's Dan Petrie in the quarterfinals. Johnson then cruised to a three game victory (9-7, 10-9, 9-3) in the semifinals over Trinity's Simba Muhwati.
After battling back from a two game deficit to defeat Trinity Supreet Singh in the quarterfinals of the consolation, freshman Aaron Fuchs fell in the semifinals of the Potter Division consolations to Vora in three games. Max Samuel fell in the quarterfinals of the consolation earlier in the day. Moshe Sarfati lost in the first round of the Potter Division consolation.
One day after upsetting the No. 1 seed in the Molloy Division (men's B), Bill Hatch fell in the quarterfinals to Navy's Alastair Smith.
