NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Yale took second place in the Ivy Scrimmage Saturday and Sunday at the Brady Squash Center. The Bulldogs defeated Brown and Cornell before falling to defending Ivy League Champion Princeton in the finals.
In the first round of competition, the Bulldogs swept Brown 9-0 to advance to the semifinals. In the semifinals, Yale met the surprising Cornell team that had upset Harvard in the previous round. The Bulldogs squeaked out a 5-4 win over Cornell to advance to the finals against Princeton.
Princeton defeated Yale 7-2 in the finals of the Ivy Scrimmage.
Yale will officially open its season on December 6 by playing host to Ivy League rival Penn.
