NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The No. 3 Bulldogs will look to improve to 14-2 when they travel to Cambridge to battle the No. 5 Crimson Wednesday. The match can be seen live at www.gocrimson.com.
Last weekend, the Bulldogs defeated Brown 9-0 to improve to 4-1 in the Ivy League. Previous to that, Yale suffered its second loss of the season, its first in the Ivy League, when Yale lost to Princeton 7-2. To date, the Bulldogs have defeated Cornell, Penn, Dartmouth, and Brown in the Ivy League.
Whereas Yale defeated Cornell 5-4 earlier this season, Harvard lost to Cornell 6-3. Harvard's other two losses have come against Trinity College and Princeton, both teams that the Bulldogs lost to as well.
Last season, Yale faced Harvard once during the regular season and once during the CSA Teams Championships. In the regular season match, the Bulldogs rolled to a 7-2 victory at home against the Crimson. In the CSA Teams Championships, Yale pulled out a 6-3 win over Harvard to clinch third place for the season.
Ivy League Scrimmage
Yale finished second in the Ivy Scrimmage this season at Yale Nov. 8 and 9. The Bulldogs cruised to a 9-0 win over Brown in their opening match before defeating Cornell 5-4. Yale dropped its final match of the Ivy League Scrimmage to defending Ivy League champion Princeton 7-2.
