New Haven, Conn. - Ethan Oetter, a junior political science major from St. Louis, Mo., was elected to serve as captain for the Yale men's squash team for the 2008-09 season. Oetter will take over for outgoing captain Moshe Sarfaty, who led the Bulldogs to a third place finish at the CSA team championships.
Oetter is a former number one U.S. junior, who ranked number one in the under-15 age division before he came to Yale. Oetter, Francis Johnson, Colin Campbell, and Bill Hatch will compose the senior class for the Bulldogs for the next season.
"Ethan has been chosen to lead a young and improving team," head coach Dave Talbott said. "After a second place finish in the Ivy and a third place finish Nationally, we need to take another step forward. I look forward to working with Ethan and the other three seniors to win an Ivy Championship in 2009."
