Three Bulldogs Earn Mid-Major All-America Recognition

Bicer, Bogese, Dominski Named Honorable Mention

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Three Yale men's swimmers – Goksu Bicer, Mike Bogese and Mike Dominski – have earned honorable mention All-America recognition from CollegeSwimming.com.

Bicer, a junior, was the Ivy League's 100-yard butterfly champion, finishing just ahead of Dominski, who placed second. Dominski earned honorable mention recognition for the second straight year. Bogese, a freshman, turned in consistent top-three performances in the 1000-yard freestyle. He also was a scorer in the individual medley, including winning the HYP 400 IM.

Mid-Major All-Americans are selected on the basis on their qualification for the 2011 NCAA Division I Championships.  Honorable mention selections are swimmers who were entered with NCAA 'B' standards, but not selected for the 2011 NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships.

The following conferences have been designated as Mid-Majors: America East, Atlantic 10, Colonial Athletic Association, Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association, Horizon, Ivy, Metro Atlantic, Mid-American, Mountain Pacific, Missouri Valley, Patriot, Sun Belt, Summit, and Western Athletic.
