NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Yale men's swimming and diving team suffered its first loss of an impressive 2011-12 season last weekend when it fell to Harvard and Princeton in Cambridge. But the Bulldogs have one last regular-season chance to regroup Saturday when they take on Brown at the University of Rhode Island.

That meet is the last before the Ivy League Championships, to be held Mar. 1-3 at Princeton. Other than the perennial powers Crimson and Tigers, Yale has been perfect in conference play, and hopes to grab a win against the Bears, whose lone Ivy League win came against Cornell in their last outing.

The Bulldogs have been sparked all season by their impressive freshman class, led last weekend by Robby Harder, who had strong showings in the distance events. Alwin Firmansyah also swam well, grabbing first in the 200-yard butterfly and fourth in the 100-yard version.

The Bears and Bulldogs take to the pool at 5 pm Saturday evening in their last action before a two week break prior to the Ivy Championships.
