NEW HAVEN, Conn.- A week after a historic meet against Harvard and Princeton, the Yale men's swimming and diving team will finish its regular season at Brown on Saturday.
At the Jan. 31-Feb. 1 tri-meet against the Crimson and Tigers, Yale swimmers broke seven school records and came close to defeating both Ivy League juggernauts. The Brown Bears are currently 0-4 in Ivy League dual meets, but finished ahead of Columbia at the Big Al Invitational in Princeton, N.J. Brown lost to Cornell by only four points at its last meet.
The Bulldogs' captain, senior Ed Becker, said that the team is looking forward to another competitive meet.
"The key is to ride the wave we've created through this weekend as opposed to resting on our accomplishments," Becker said. "The team knows our work isn't over yet, so I don't see focus being an issue for this group. It never has been before."
After Saturday's meet, the Bulldogs will not compete until Feb. 27, when the Ivy League Swimming and Diving Championships kick off in Cambridge, Mass.
The Feb. 8 meet against Brown begins at 3:00 p. m. at the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center in Providence, R.I.
