  • Yale Men’s Swim and Dive Celebrate Season with End-of-Year Honors
    May 16, 2018
    The Yale men’s swimming and diving team celebrated its 2017-18 season and honored members for their great contribution to the team. The team closed out their season in February with a 7-2 dual meet record and a third-place finish at the 2018 Ivy League Swimming Championship, breaking 11 school records along the way.
  • Lin Elected 121st Captain of Men’s Swimming and Diving

    Junior Adrian Lin will be the captain of the Yale Men’s Swimming and Diving team for the 2018-19 season.  The team elected Lin to succeed senior captain Dirk Bell before its annual banquet on Apr. 11.
  • Winter Academic All-Ivy Announced

    The Ivy League released its list of student-athletes selected for 2017-18 Academic All-Ivy honors in its winter sports today, and 10 Bulldogs were honored. The recipients were starters or key reserves on an officially recognized varsity team with 3.0 or better cumulative grade point averages. Each institution nominated five men and five women from its eligible student-athletes.

    Senior Aaron Greenberg, senior Kei Hyogo and junior Adrian Lin concluded their journey at the NCAA Division I Men's Swimming and Diving Championships on Saturday, representing the Yale men’s swimming and diving team across the four days of competition.
  • Hyogo sets Yale Record in 400 IM at NCAAs, Lin finishes 35th in 200 Free

    Senior Kei Hyogo and junior Adrian Lin competed in the 400-yard individual medley and 200-yard freestyle, respectively, at the 2018 NCAA Division I Men's Swimming and Diving Championships on Friday. Both swimmers hold the Yale record in their respective event.

This will be the fifth consecutive season that Yale has been represented at the NCAA Championships and the fourth consecutive year that the team has sent multiple swimmers.

  • Yale Finishes Third at Ivy League Championships with 11 School Records

    The Yale men’s swimming and diving team finished third with 1138 points at Ivy League Championships after four days of competition. Harvard won the meet with 1630.5 points. Nonetheless, the Bulldogs found great success in many of their events, setting school records in 11 out of the 21 events and posting numerous personal bests.

    The Yale men’s swimming and diving team hold third after day three of the Ivy Championships with 730 points. The Bulldogs continue to post strong performances and the seniors stepped up on the third day to deliver some key swims for the team.

    The Yale men’s swimming and diving team completed day two of the Ivy Championships in third-place with a score of 377.0 points. The Bulldogs continued to make a splash on the second day with four new school records and many NCAA qualifying cuts.

    The Yale men’s swimming and diving team rallied on the second day of the annual Harvard-Yale-Princeton meet to take a challenging win against Princeton, 177-176. It was the Bulldogs' first victory against Princeton in 16 years. The team was defeated by Harvard 242-111. With the conclusion of the meet, the Bulldogs sit at a 7-2 winning dual season record.

  • Bulldogs Defeat Cornell for Final Home Meet Win, Greenberg Sets New Pool Record in 50 Free

    The Yale men's swimming and diving team defeated Cornell 226-127 in its final home meet of the 2017-18 season. The victory concluded a grueling week of competition for the Bulldogs; The team defeated three Ivy League teams over five days. During the two days of competition against Cornell, the Bulldogs claimed first in 15 of the 19 events. Additionally, senior Aaron Greenberg set a new Robert J.H. Kiphuth Exhibition Pool record in the 50-yard freestyle. 
  • Yale Takes Opening Events Vs. Cornell

    The Bulldogs fared well on the first day of a two-day meet with Cornell. Christian DeVol won the 1-meter diving and Kei Hyogo captured the 1000-yard freestyle. In addition, Yale’s 400 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay teams were victorious.

    The Yale men’s swimming and diving team defeated two Ivy League rivals – Dartmouth and Penn – in a double dual meet at Dartmouth this weekend. After returning from their winter training trip, the Bulldogs posted strong performances, setting five new pool records and defeating Dartmouth 277-76 and Penn 230-123.
