Matt was a four-year letterman in swimming and team captain
while at Acalanes High School. He placed second in the 100
backstroke in the North Coast Section in 2007 and 2008. Boone
earned all-league honors in 2007 and 2008 and MVP honors in 2008.
He also won the most inspirational award in 2005 and the Coach's
Award in 2006. He was also honored with a scholar-athlete award in
2005, 2006, and 2007. Boone has garnered multiple All-American
honors. In 2005, he was an All-American in the 200 freestyle relay.
In 2006, he was an All-American in the 200 medley relay. In 2007,
he earned All-American honors in the 200 freestyle relay, the 200
medley, and the 100 backstroke. Boone was an All-American in 2008
at the 100 backstroke and 100 butterfly. In his spare time, Matt
enjoys music and singing. He is a member of Morse College.
