Irishman Bronson Commons joins Yale swimming as a freshman. Some of Bronson's swimming accomplishments include finalling at the Irish Junior Nationals in the 100M backstroke, and qualifying for the Irish National Team. Bronson's club team was the provincial title winner for 10 of the 12 years that he was a member.

Bronson came to Yale to gain an American college experience and have the opportunity to experience another culture. He wants to swim at the highest level that he can while also pursuing academics at the highest level. In the end, he found Yale to be "the friendliest college" that he visited.

Bronson is the fist of his immediate family to go to college. His mother danced for the New York City Ballet, and his father was a championship boxer. His brother is on the Irish National Water polo and swim teams. Bronson is proud to say that he comes from an agricultural background and from a long line of farmers on his father's side.
