Originally from Fairfax, Va., Andrew Foss swam for the Curl-Burke swim club early in his career. Later, he attended The Peddie School in Hightstown, N.J., and received a varsity letter each of his four years. Andrew was a five-time High School All-American freestyler in the 100, 200, 500, as well as the 200 freestyle and 400 freestyle relays. Swimming for Curl-Burke, Andrew's team placed fifth in the 800 freestyle relay at USS Nationals and made major contributions to the Junior Olympic High Point Team Champion on two occasions. Through his first two years at Yale, Andrew has established himself as a freestyler at almost all distances. He has competed in three Easterns finals heats, his best finish being 3rd in the 200 Freestyle his freshman year. He looks forward to this season and the seasons ahead. He knows the with the new Bulldog Class of '2009 and the resulting new team attitude, Yale is headed "to the top of the Ivy League".
