Lou Krasenics swims a full range of events and distances, and comes to Yale from right down the road in Seymour, Connecticut. Lou swims the individual medley and also focuses on the butterfly and the distance freestyle events. A four-year letter winner at Notre Dame High School, Lou captained his team in his senior year to the Connecticut State title. Lou has also been a member of the Amity Regional Swim Club for the past eight years. While swimming for his high school, Lou was a two-time All-American, four-year first team All-State, a League and Area MVP, and Notre Dame Athlete of the Year. Since, at Yale, Lou has made the Bulldogs' EISL Championship squad and finished 10th in the 400 IM . The swimming experience that Lou remembers most occurred in Yale's world famous Robert J.H. Kiphuth Exhibition Pool, when he finished second by 0.05 seconds in his sophomore year. Yale was at the top of his list when he considered colleges because of its academic reputation but Lou most appreciates the atmosphere of the campus.
