Michael has been swimming as long as he can remember. He has swam for numerous clubs, including the Lake Erie Silver Dolphins and North Coast Swimming. Last year as a senior he was captain of his high school team. During his high school career Michael received several awards, ranging from most improved in his sophomore year to MVP in his senior year. As a walk-on to the Yale swimming team, Michael hopes to take his swimming a step further and to compete well on the collegiate level.

Michael was one of the top ten students in his high school senior class, and was also a National Merit Finalist. He also won a writing award from the National Council of Teachers of English. Michael chose Yale because he fell in love with it the first time he visited. He hopes to bring as much to the team as he can, and is excited about his first season and wants it to be a good one.
