Colin had an abrupt start to his swimming career when his
parents threw him in the pool without knowing how to swim at the
age of 2. Since then, Colin has swum for Breck High School and Twin
Cities Swim Club. As a 6 year letter winner with Breck, Colin
captained the team his Junior and Senior year to consecutive 2nd
place team finishes. Individually, Colin captured the State 100
Backstroke Championship three years in a row with All-American
times. In high school, Colin was the President of his class his
junior and senior year. Colin also captained the State Champion
soccer team in his senior year, and played varsity tennis. He chose
Yale for its unparalleled commitment to cultivating all aspects of
the student experience, and he found that Yale Swimming knows the
meaning of tradition and excellence. In his freshman year, Colin
captured 2nd place in the 100 Backstroke and 2nd in the 200 at the
ECAC Championship meet. Colin looks to build on his improvement
from last year.
