Annapolis, MD - The Bulldogs defeated Cornell 167.50 to 132.50 while falling to the Naval Academy 159.00 to 141.00 in Annapolis Saturday.
In the men's 200-meter medley relay, the Yale `A' team took first place. Sophomore Thomas Robinson, junior Matt Sweitzer, junior Chris Pool, and junior Alex Righi combined for a time of 1:43.26 to take first place in the race.
Freshman Matt Lee took second place in the 800-meter freestyle with a time of 8:19.88. Junior Ilya Byzhov took sixth place in the race with a time of 8:30.91.
In the 100-meter backstroke, Righi took first place with a time of 55.88. In the same race, Robinson took third with a time of 57.77.
Sweitzer took third place in the 100-meter breaststroke with a time of 1:05.46.
In both the 50-meter and 100-meter freestyle, Righi took first place with a times of 22.76 and 50.12.
Senior Jeffrey Lichtenstein took first place in both the 1-meter diving and 3-meter diving.
Robinson took first place in the 200-meter backstroke with a time of 2:04.02.
In the 200-meter breaststroke, Yale took four of the top five places. Sophomore Craig Steen took first with a time of 2:24.48. Senior Colin Stalnecker, junior Kyle McElroy, and Sweitzer took third, fourth, and fifth place respectively.
In the 100-meter butterfly, Pool took first place with a time of 55.20.
The Bulldogs will host Dartmouth and Penn next Friday and Saturday.
