NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Yale men's swimming team used a solid effort from several of its senior members to defeat Lehigh, 172-126, on Saturday afternoon at the Kiphuth Exhibition Pool.
The Bulldogs cruised to victory, winning both relay races thanks to an all-senior, four-member team. The all-senior team of Jack Cooney, Matt Bowman, Jimmy Veazey and Alex Nash won the 200 medley relay (1:35.62) and 200 freestyle relay (1:26.14). Individually, Cooney won the 200 backstroke (1:52.65) and 200 freestyle (1:44.21), while Veazey won the 100 freestyle (:47.86) and Bowman won the 50 freestyle (:22.19).
Freshman Lou Krasenics won the 200 fly with a time of 1:53.88.
The Bulldogs return to action next Saturday, January 24, to take on Penn and Dartmouth in Philadelphia.
