The Yale women's and men's swimming teams each notched three victories in less than 24 hours, as they returned from last night's victory at Fairfield to defeat Penn and Dartmouth in New Haven on Saturday afternoon. Both the men's and women's teams won by almost 75 points against each Ivy rival.
The Yale men also opened with diving and with a win as Jeff Lichtenstein won the 3meter event. The men also got first place victories in the 100 Freestyle (Kent Garber), 200 Freestyle (Quinn Fitzgerald), 100 Backstroke (Geof Zann), 200 Fly (Ben Dzialo), 100 Freestyle (Andrew Foss), 200 Back (Zann), 500 Freestyle (Fitzgerald), 100 Fly (Matt Thunell) and 200 IM (Billy Rubenstein). Kieran Locke, Foss, Zann and Fitzgerald ended competition on a sweet note, wining the 400 Free Relay to close the meet. Yale defeated the Quakers 181-107 and the Big Green 233-67.
Both teams will face archrivals Harvard and Princeton in New Haven next Saturday and Sunday at the annual H-Y-P meet. Competition on Saturday begins at 6 p.m. and on Sunday at Noon.
